Do You Know Your Bible?

I supposed I knew my Bible,

Reading piecemeal, hit or miss,

Now a bit of John or Matthew,

Now a snatch of Genesis,

Certain chapters of Isaiah,

Certain Psalms (the twenty-third)

Twelfth of Romans, First of Proverbs--

Yes, I thought I knew the Word!

But I found that thorough reading

Was a different thing to do,

And the way was unfamiliar

When I read the Bible through.

You who like to play at Bible,

Dip and dabble, here and there.

Just before you kneel a-weary,

And yawn through a hurried prayer;

You who treat the crown of Writings

As you treat no other book--

Just a paragraph disjointed,

Just a crude impatient look--

Try a worthier procedure

Try a broad and steady view;

You will kneel in very rapture

When you read the Bible through!

Missouri!!

Hey everyone, we just got back from a 21/2 week trip, first to MO then on they way back we stopped in Indianapolis!! And boy has it been quite a trip!! Roy Daniel and Jerusala got engaged :D And we got to spend a lot of time getting to know him better!! I will put the pix on picasa, since there are so many!! We ministered in two churches and Roy in a third!! We visited a museum, we went to the St. Louis Zoo, we traveled for HOURS in the car!! But it was so much fun!!! We then headed for Indianapolis, and the Revival Conference!! They had Keith Daniel, Bill Mcleod, Bill Gothard, Wesley Duewel, Mark Greening, Richard Owen Roberts, and John Macgregor!! With Sean Morris, and Edgar Reich!! It was a wonderful time of meetings!! Well, I will put the pix on picasa ASAP!! ~JR

Syracuse Zoo!!

Yesterday we went to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, with Viktor, Jubilena and the girls!! It was a blast, we don't get to see them to often, so it was great to be able to spend time with them!! Shalom and Ruth are so very cute, and I can't wait for number three to pop out!!

At the lake house (Part two)

OK....the rest of the story! Wednesday we went swimming and kayaking again...then around 4pm we left for the Pawleys church about 3hrs. away! We got there in time for the service, which was very good btw! They had a guest speaker there, and the meeting went very well! Then we stayed around to spend some time talking to the Brocketts! We ended up staying at the Pawleys house for the night! Then we went to the Reynolds to help them settle in as they just moved from Ohio!! We went to the Brockett's house from there, and stayed for quite some time as we got to know their family and they got to know us!! It was a lot of fun...! Then we headed back to the Lake House, where we stayed until Saturday afternoon!! Swimming and Kayaking and everything else that goes with vacation!! At the lake house (Part one)

We are at the lake house right now, enjoying some family time! We got here Monday around 2pm and got to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma! We took the pontoon boat out and tied the raft to the back of it, and then took turns seeing how long we could last with Grandpa doing all he could to give us a hard ride :D John and Tim took a turn, then Jeru and I, then Daddy and Janna, Daddy and Paul, and Daddy and Mommy!! It was a lot of fun!! Needless to say, this morning we were all a bit stiff and sore. Tuesday morning we all got up and ate breakfast whenever! Then we decided to go for a kayak ride...Janna went for a while, but some of us get to rough for her! Jeru, John, Tim and I went for a little over an hour! Then we came in and ate lunch (those that were hungry) and got ready to go out on the pontoon boat again! We got out on the water finally, and my dad decided to just go for a little tour (he wanted to get the feel of the boat) we finally hooked the tube up, and I took Paul out for a ride! Then I got a chance to go by myself, then Jeru and Janna, then Mom (she didn't want to be left out) then John, then Tim!! By that time our already sore muscles were even more sore! We came back to shore, and decided to go swimming, which we did for quite a while, then to dry myself off a bit, I went on another kayak ride with Jeru!! And now, I am definitely SORE!!!!! But I LOVE it :D
